The Perth Soapbox Club Inc. began in 1968 as the Mount Brown Soapbox Club of York, founded by Beresford Newton, Russell Crisp and Laurie Simms. After stints in York and Bickley, the club settled at its own purpose-built track in Neerabup in 1981, we remain the only soapbox club in WA with a dedicated track of our own.

Visit us on a race day and your child can ride in the club's tandem car, driven by an experienced adult, at no cost. Just bring a long-sleeve top, trousers and enclosed shoes. New drivers can also borrow a club car for a meeting or two before committing.

The club provides plans, specs, and moulds for hire. Check with the Club Scrutineer before you start, to make sure your build meets club rules.
KidSport program increased!
KidSport has increased from $300 to $500 per eligible child per financial year. It provides financial assistance so kids aged 5–18, named on a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, can take part in sport — up to $500 per child, per financial year. Check eligibility at www.dlgsc.wa.gov.au/kidsport. KidSport is delivered by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries in partnership with local governments across WA.
Track & Facilities
The Perth Soapbox Club has its own dedicated track at Jack's Hill, located on Wattle Ave East in Neerabup, just past the Wanneroo International Kartway on the way to Wanneroo Raceway. Look for the soapbox car on a pole at our entrance - park outside the main gate and walk in. Visitors are encouraged to arrive after 9:30am.
